Most shrimp producers compete on price. KonaweShrimp was founded to compete on quality. We are building a purpose-designed aquaculture estate on the coast of Konawe Selatan, Southeast Sulawesi, engineered from the ground up to produce premium, high-grade vannamei shrimp for the Japanese market. Sashimi grade is the standard we are building toward.
Every decision, from pond design and stocking density to water treatment and harvest handling, is measured against a single benchmark: the standards of Japan's most demanding buyers. Our engineering is developed in collaboration with Japanese partners, and our operations run on JALA, Indonesia's leading aquaculture management platform.
We believe Indonesian shrimp can stand alongside the best in the world, not by producing more but by producing better.
Our site was selected for what matters most in premium aquaculture: clean intake water, coastal access, and room to grow in disciplined phases. Phase 1A, with 22 ponds across 4.4 hectares, is under construction now, with each 2,000 m² pond engineered for controlled, conservative stocking and consistent harvest quality.

Our development is phased and disciplined. Phase 1A is fully committed and under construction; subsequent phases will expand the estate toward its full potential of more than 50 hectares as operations prove out.
